Understanding Group Therapy & Insurance Coverage

What is a Psychotherapeutic Group?
Psychotherapeutic groups are clinically facilitated by licensed mental health professionals and focus on promoting emotional healing, personal growth, and behavioral change. These groups are eligible for insurance reimbursement because they are considered a recognized form of mental health treatment.

About Cost & Insurance Coverage

Many insurance plans cover psychotherapeutic groups if they are facilitated by a licensed clinician and meet clinical criteria. However, group therapy co-pays and deductibles can vary widely and in some cases, your out-of-pocket cost through insurance may be more than the cost of paying directly through our nonprofit.

We are committed to making care more accessible. Thanks to our nonprofit structure and sliding scale rates, many of our group offerings are available at a low cost, sometimes less than what you'd pay using your insurance.

What You Can Do:

  • We encourage you to check your behavioral health benefits directly with your insurance provider to understand your co-pay, deductible, or limits on group therapy.

  • Our administrative team will also conduct a benefits check and bill insurance when possible.

  • Whether you use insurance or self-pay, our goal is to keep your costs minimal while offering high-quality care.

Types of Groups We Offer

We recognize that healing is not one-size-fits-all. That’s why our nonprofit offers a variety of group experiences, each rooted in evidence-based practices:

Processing Groups

These groups offer a safe and confidential space to explore emotions, reflect on experiences, and share personal challenges. The emphasis is on emotional expression, validation, and healing through connection. - Remembering Safety

Skills Groups

These are structured and interactive groups that teach coping tools, communication strategies, emotion regulation, and other mental health skills, often drawn from modalities like DBT, CBT, or mindfulness-based approaches. - Reclaming Softness

Psychoeducational Groups

These focus on increasing knowledge and insight. Topics might include understanding trauma responses, nervous system regulation, grief, or relationship patterns. The goal is to inform and empower.

Support Groups

These groups foster peer connection and mutual encouragement. While facilitated by a professional, they emphasize shared experience, reducing isolation, and building community support. - AstroAlign

Some groups may blend elements from more than one category depending on client needs and the group’s therapeutic goals.

Trauma Support Groups

Return to the Body: Two Pathways to Healing

At our agency, we believe that healing from chronic stress, anxiety, and trauma should never be a luxury. Everyone deserves access to care that honors both the science of the nervous system and the sacredness of the soul.

We offer two ways to begin, or continue, your healing journey, meeting you exactly where you are.

Gentle Grounding: Free Monthly Support Circle - “Reclaiming Softness”

If you’re feeling tender, disconnected, or unsure where to begin, this gentle one-hour community circle offers a place to breathe again.

Here, you’ll learn simple tools to calm your nervous system, reconnect with your body, and feel supported in community, without needing to share your story before you’re ready.

Through guided breathwork, sound healing, and trauma-informed education, you’ll begin to rebuild a sense of safety within yourself, one breath, one beat at a time.

Perfect for:

  • Survivors seeking emotional safety before diving deeper

  • Anyone experiencing ongoing anxiety, hypervigilance, or overwhelm

  • Those wanting accessible, affordable healing support

Deep Restoration: Two-Hour Healing Immersion - “Remembering Safety”

For those ready to go deeper, our restorative circle offers a more immersive experience in a safe, supportive community.
This two-hour space blends reiki, sound healing, somatic integration, and trauma-informed psychoeducation to help your body release, restore, and realign.

You’ll be gently guided to process your experiences through grounding, not reactivation. In this container, we invite conversation and sharing about your trauma journey, always at your own pace and with skilled support to ensure your body remains regulated and rooted in safety.

Perfect for:

  • Survivors of sexual trauma and intimate partner violence to include recovery from a romatic narcissistic dynamic and are ready to move from surviving to thriving

  • Individuals craving connection, accountability, and embodied empowerment

  • Survivors wanting a multi-dimensional approach to embodied resilience

Because healing shouldn’t be reserved for those who can afford it, it should be available to everyone who’s ready to reclaim their body, voice, and peace.

AstroAlign: A Monthly Zodiac Integration Circle

Where astrology meets self-awareness, and the stars speak in your language.

AstroAlign is a monthly gathering for seekers, feelers, and conscious creators ready to explore the living archetypes within their birth chart. Each month, we journey through the energetic landscape of the zodiac season, its ruling planet, associated house, and elemental essence, using a playful, “madlib-style” teaching method that makes Astrology accessible, embodied, and empowering.

This isn't just about learning astrology, it's about living it. You’ll discover how each zodiac sign already moves within you, shaping your thoughts, patterns, and purpose. Through guided exploration, reflection, and group dialogue, you’ll learn to recognize how the season’s archetype is asking to be integrated both internally (your emotional landscape, mental patterns, bodily cues) and externally (relationships, career, choices).

Rooted in the wisdom of the stars and grounded in clinical insight, AstroAlign invites you to move through life with more clarity, coherence, and cosmic attunement. Whether you’re new to astrology or deep in your practice, this circle offers a soulful space for realignment and growth, one zodiac season at a time.
